Inspired by the song “Marry You” by Bruno Mars, we decided to go to Las Vegas. Our friends were surprised that we were going to Vegas. We didn’t drink alcohol or smoke or gamble.

Our second son came three years later. Parenting was joyful and challenging. It began with diapering and 3 a.m. feedings, then the terrible twos and then into their schooling. We knew we had to continue our weekly date nights to stay connected as husband and wife.
