MNI (LONDON) - UK government borrowing was GBP10.7 billion in February, GBP0.1 billion more than in February 2024 and the fourth highest February borrowing since monthly records began in 1993, the Office for National Statistics said Friday. Overall borrowing in the financial year to February 2025 was GBP132.2 billion; GBP14.7 billion more than at the same point in the last financial year and the third highest financial year-to-February borrowing since monthly records began in 1993.

MNI (LONDON) - A trade war with U.S tariffs would make the eurozone's price outlook "significantly more uncertain," potentially adding 0.5 percentage point to inflation, European President Christine Lagarde told the European Parliament's ECON committee.
