AUSTIN (KXAN) - Texas softball had their hands full with ACC champs Clemson Tigers in a three-game series in Super Regionals, but managed to punch their ticket to Norman, OK with a 6-5 win Saturday night. Three gritty games against 11-seed Clemson were probably the last thing Longhorns' fans expected, after 6-seed Texas swept through their opponents in Regionals.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - In their first game since losing 14-2 to Texas A&M in the SEC tournament, the Longhorns defeated Eastern Illinois by run rule 10-2 in the opening game of the NCAA regionals. AUSTIN (KXAN) - It's been tough month for the Longhorns losing four in a row versus SEC opponents. Saturday night at Disch-Faulk field, the tables finally turned in favor of the number one team, thanks to mother nature and 17-year-old freshman Jonah Williams. Texas didn't have production at the plate Friday against the Gators and until a rain delay interfered with the production of Florida's starting pitcher Liam Peterson, that was almost the same story line in game two of the series.

“There’s got to be a different level of dialed in” Texas catcher Rylan Galvan called today’s 4-1 loss to Florida “disappointing”. Longhorns had a chance to win the SEC outright but dropped the series to the Gators 2-1, on senior day. @KXAN_News https://t.co/aVjtxABsl9
