In early May, thieves stole an A/C unit from outside The Christi Center on Hancock Drive in central Austin. Collins said she believes someone pulled up behind their largest building, which backs up to an empty lot, then cut and pulled the units off the wall.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Hamilton Pool Preserve has temporarily closed off water access due to recent rain and high bacteria levels, according to Travis County Parks. It is unclear when the pool could be reopened for swimming, but TC Parks said it could be as early as Friday. The preserve is still open for hiking, but a reservation is required. "When we do allow swimming, only a very limited portion of the pool is available for water access due to the continuing problem of falling rocks," TC Parks said.
