Last week, the 2025 National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA)’s Wood Flooring Expo took place in Charlotte, North Carolina. The theme was “Go the Distance,” and attendees experienced hands-on demonstrations, valuable education sessions, the latest products and trends, and numerous networking opportunities. The NWFA’s 40th anniversary is in 2025, and the opening session celebrated the craftsmanship, innovation, and community that make the wood flooring industry so special.

Meet NWFA Members in the Tar Heel StateFrom beautiful beaches to magnificent mountains, North Carolina is closely tied with the many outdoor experiences it has to offer. Of course, a major part of the great outdoors is forestland, which covers more than 60 percent of total land in the state¹. Many manufacturers end up using or selling nearly all of the excess. A report from the Pellet Fuels Institute stated that in 2020, wood pellet manufacturers sold 2.18 million tons of wood pellets for space heating, which generated more than $350 million in revenue.
