Australian workers are more likely than those elsewhere to be planning to change jobs, with 74% reporting now is a good time to look for a new position, compared to 52% globally. In addition, only 25% of workers report feeling engaged or committed to their company’s goals, according to the Gallup State of the Global Workplace 2024 report released on Wednesday.

Japan’s Fast Retailing Co said strong overseas sales drove a 25 per cent rise in first-quarter operating profit, as the Uniqlo operator charts a third-straight year of record earnings. Profit was US$1.01 billion in the three months through November compared with $805,159 a year earlier. Fast Retailing held its full-year operating profit forecast of $3.094 million, following record earnings of $2.6 million in fiscal 2023.
