The gathering included a 20-minute presentation by Reed, followed by questions and a light reception, including sweet chili pistachios, one of Reed’s favorite snacks.

FestivArts, formerly known as the Art Fiesta, included an art showcase, arts and craft demonstrations, creation station activities, a book sale, live music and sale of original works from artists along with festive foods as they celebrated their 20th year.

Ymasumac Maranon Davis spoke about the Baha’i faith during a lecture sponsored by the office of religious and spiritual life, Baha’is of Rancho Cucamonga and People for Peace and Prosperity. The event was part of the “Harmonizing Diverse Worldviews” series. Roughly 40 University community members attended the Oct. 24 event in the Ludwick Center Sacred Space.

Lillian BarocioStaff WriterThe Huntley College of Agriculture at Cal Poly Pomona is hosting its annual pumpkin festival this month, from noon to 7 p.m. Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 27. The festival this year boasts 40,000 pumpkins, a sunflower field, corn mazes, and a farm-animal petting zoo. The attractions also include hay and train rides, duck races and a kid’s corn maze. The petting zoo has sheep, cows, a calf and more than 20 goats.
