Thatiana GibbsAssistant EditorThe La Verne Symphony Orchestra presented an evening of musical classics Nov. 24 in Morgan Auditorium. The orchestra performed a program featuring a variety of great works of classical music. The performance began at 4 p.m., and the auditorium was full. The orchestra was composed of students and seasoned musicians, and the concert featured a selection of pieces that spanned genres, moods, and centuries.

Following a week of Homecoming festivities, senior business administration major Kennadie Gonzales and senior psychology major Mikaylay Dacpano were named this year’s Leo Royalty and were awarded leopard statues and crowns. The Leopard Royalty Float was revealed at 1:15 p.m. on Oct. 12 in front of Founders Hall, and this year’s Homecoming Leo Royalty was during the parade. Founders Hall was decorated with balloons of the school’s colors, orange and green. The parade theme was Old Hollywood.

Emma GonzalezStaff WriterThe Campus Activities Board held Homecoming Illuminations on Monday in the Campus Center Ballroom. Around 30 people attended the event to hear who was nominated to a spot in this year’s Court of Leos. This year’s Court of Leos includes Alyssa Kinsey, Jimena Suarez, Kennadie Gonzales, Michael Hill and Mikalay Dacpano. Homecoming Illuminations is designed to highlight court members’ campus community achievements. They are nominated by their respective organizations.
