Moses Mwendwa, a 22-year-old student, was on his way back to Maziwa, Nairobi, from church on January 12 when he slipped and fell down a staircase. That misstep left him with an arm injury so severe it ended in the amputation of his left arm, the dominant one. “After the fall, I didn’t seek medical treatment immediately.
