    Three people are facing charges after London police executed a search warrant finding a number of shotguns and about $3,700 in illegal drugs. Members of the London police Guns and Gangs Section along with the Emergency Response Unit conducted a weapons investigation at two homes in the area of Commissioners Road West and Viscount Road.

According to Environment Canada, the region can expect clouds with a 30 per cent chance of rain or drizzle early in the morning. Any fog patches are expected to dissipate in the morning. The high for Thursday is expected to reach 7C. Conditions aren’t expected to change by the evening, with more cloudiness and a 30 per cent chance of drizzle.

    A commercial driver has been from London charged after a Good Samaritan reported a suspected impaired driver to police. The Ontario Provincial Police in Elgin County found and investigated the vehicle Thursday around 7:16 a.m. on Yarmouth Centre Road near Fruit Ridge Line after the citizen notified officers. Police say when an officer spoke to the driver, they observed signs of intoxication and administered a roadside approved screening device (ASD) test, registering a failure.

    Windsor police say a man is in hospital recovering from serious injuries after being struck by a pickup truck Thursday afternoon. Officers were dispatched at around 3:30 p.m. to the Sandwich Town area for a report of a collision involving a pedestrian. Through investigation, police learned the truck turning southeast on Mill St. from Sandwich St. struck the man as he was crossing the street. The driver remained at the scene.

    OPP are warning residents after responding to a ‘sextortion’ scam involving a teenager who had sent an intimate photo to and was being threatened by someone they met online. Members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to the complaint in Middlesex Centre around noon Thursday where officers were told the teen shared the photo with an unknown person they met online.
