After seven days, the cross examination of E.M., the complainant in the sexual assault trial of five former junior hockey players, is over. Julianne Greenspan the fifth and final defence attorney, questioned E.M in a London, Ont., courtroom on Tuesday. During the afternoon session, Greenspan, who is representing Cal Foote, suggested to E.M. that she was not as drunk as she has testified she was on the evening of June 18, 2018.

Windsor Police officers responded to a collision at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday and closed the road between Lauzon Parkway and Banwell Road. At 5:23 p.m., police announced the lanes were reopened. CTV News has reached out to the Windsor Police Service for more details on the collision.

The jury at a coroner’s inquest into the accidental overdose death of an 18-year-old University of Victoria student failed to return a verdict on the first day of deliberations. Around 4 p.m., lawyers for the family of deceased teen Sidney McIntyre-Starko told her parents deliberations would continue on Wednesday morning. In January of 2024, McIntyre-Starko and two other students ingested what they thought was cocaine in a dormitory on the school campus.

A B.C. man convicted of committing sex crimes against female clients while working as a laser hair removal technician has lost his bid for an exemption from the requirement to register as a sex offender. Ali Aghasardar pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault and one count of voyeurism last year and was handed a one-year conditional sentence order followed by one year of probation.
