RYE, Colo. (KKTV) - A memorial fit for a king will be held at his castle this summer. Bishop’s Castle has announced an upcoming service for creator and namesake Jim Bishop on July 5. Bishop died late last year at the age 80, leaving behind one of the most iconic structures in Colorado. His castle started as a one-room stone cottage in 1969 and grew and grew over the next 55 years, with turrets, spirals and fire-breathing dragons taking form over multiple stories.

CENTER, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is calling on the public for help finding a missing girl from the San Luis Valley. Thirteen-year-old Alyssa Ortega was last seen at 2 p.m. Sunday. As of Tuesday morning, CBI says she remains missing. Alyssa is Hispanic, stands 5-foot-1 and weighs 120 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Springs police need your help finding a missing senior. Virginia Manzi, 70, was last seen around 2:30 Monday afternoon at the La Baguette Cafe and Espresso Bar off East Pikes Peak and Tejon in downtown Colorado Springs. She is described as 5-foot-3 and 110 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a black floral top with black leggings.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Two suspects wearing face paint held up a convenience store near Memorial Park overnight. Police say a man and a woman barged into the store just after 5:15 Monday morning and slid the clerk a note demanding cash and merchandise. They claimed to both be carrying guns. The employee complied, and after getting what they came for, the pair left in a minivan. The suspects were described as a Hispanic man and white woman, faces hidden by yellow and white paint.

AURORA, Colo. (KKTV) - A semi-truck crashed into a road sign in Aurora Monday morning, snarling rush hour traffic and spilling hundreds of boxes along the roadway. The collision happened just before dawn on westbound I-70 between Tower Road and Airport Boulevard. 11 News sister station CBS Denver shared a video of the scene on social media:#Breaking: I am tracking a really bad crash involving a semi in Aurora. COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A man is waking up in jail Monday morning after police say he stole a car at gunpoint and then led officers on a chase. The alleged carjacking was reported just after 1 a.m. in the area of Dale Street and Arrawanna. The victim told police their car was taken at gunpoint. “Officers responding to the call located the stolen vehicle, which fled when they attempted to stop it,” a CSPD lieutenant said.
