1. IntroductionNowadays, the expansion of saline-alkali land has severely impacted plant growth and destabilized agricultural and forest ecosystems globally [1,2]. In salinized habitats, the specialization of leaves or/and roots facilitates their adaptation to stressful conditions. Based on ecological, physiological, and eco-physiological criteria, such plants that live in or have adapted to salty environments are defined as halophytes [3].
