Mother’s Day as a single mum is a conflicting day. Sure, let’s celebrate everything you do all day, every day, on your own, raising your family. You are amazing and deserve it. Sounds great!Except for the fact you’re a single mum and if your kids aren’t old enough to shop for themselves it’s up to you to organise anything you’ll do for Mother’s Day and any presents you’ll receive (side note - when your kids get a job it’s a GAME CHANGER).

When I had my older kids, I used to roll my eyes at the idea of Easter presents for children. “Chocolate. That’s what my kids will get. Chocolate and a lot of it.”Was it healthy? Absolutely not. But it’s Easter and that’s what Easter is about (that and the obvious religious affiliations.)Over the years I’ve seen Easter evolve from a small-ish holiday.

Every week I look forward to my favourite moments of reality TV. This week did not disappoint. There was champagne, a bit of bare skin, blatant lies, and a whole lot of backstabbing. I bet you’re sitting there thinking “Yep I watched the MAFS dinner party too.”I must forgive you if you thought that because it’s easy to see why you would. But that’s not what I’m referring to.
