DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A Mexican flag was vandalized, cars were burglarized, and other crimes were reported in the most recent crime blotter from the Downers Grove Police Department. Flag Vandalized in 5400 Block of Main Street Police were called to the 5400 block of Main Street for a report that a resident's Mexican flag had been vandalized. The victim told police someone had removed the flag from her garage, torn the flag, put it on the ground and broke the flag pole.

LISLE, IL — A new summer event comes to Lisle on June 4, with the debut of the village's Food Truck Social. The weekly event will bring a rotating assortment of food trucks to the Lisle Metra Lot on Wednesday nights throughout June. The Food Truck Socials will welcome visitors from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Village trustees approved the Food Truck Social proposal in early March. The family-friendly event will also feature live music, wine and beer for purchase and special activities for children.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Residents raised some concerns about vehicle access, fencing and light exposure during a public hearing meeting about a proposed Casey's General Store on Ogden Avenue in Naperville. Developers are proposing to replace the Bucky's gas station at 20 E. Ogden Ave. with a 3,218 square foot convenience store. The proposal comes four years after Casey's General Stores acquired the Bucky's chain in 2021.
