The annual event, which returns to London on June 24 highlights an eclectic range of venues across the whole of the UK by naming 94 sites as the best in their respective counties.  In a change-up to previous years, the 94 county winners will be announced live at the event, as well as highly commended venues for each area. In total, 256 pubs and bars have been shortlisted throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

West Midlands Police were called to an open space near Swanfield Road around 6.15pm on Sunday (13 April). The boys were injured and a bag containing items including a phone and a coat were also taken from them. Ryan Hand, aged 36, has been charged with robbery, and possession of a bladed article. He was remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today. A 12-year-old boy arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed with strict conditions.

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead at an address in Oldbury. Paramjit Kaur, 46, was confirmed dead at the scene. Her family have paid tribute to a 'kind, hardworking and dearly loved daughter, sister, and friend'.

A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a car in Birmingham. Despite the best efforts of paramedics and members of public, the rider in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car involved, who is in her 40s, remained at the scene and is helping West Midlands Police with its investigation.

Police officers were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks near Tipton just after 12.35pm yesterday (4 March). Officers and paramedics arrived but sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is currently being treated as unexplained, but despite extensive enquiries officers have been unable to identify the man and trace his family to inform them of the news. The man was wearing an orange high visibility jacket with a hood, and trousers with a Pulsar brand logo on them.
