Staffordshire Police's roads crime team said officers were called to a crash involving a car and HGV on the A5 in Wheaton Aston on Tuesday morning (April 29). An air ambulance was also called to the scene. West Midlands Ambulance Service said a man was treated for potentially serious injuries before being airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital. A WMAS spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a car and HGV on the A5 in Wheaton Aston at 11.18am yesterday.

Staffordshire Police's roads crime team said officers were called to a two vehicle crash on the A5 this morning (Tuesday). Posting a picture of a crumpled car, they said the driver was very lucky to walk away with just a scratch 'having not seen the stationary HGV'. An air ambulance was also called to the scene. West Midlands Police were called to an open space near Swanfield Road around 6.15pm on Sunday (13 April). The boys were injured and a bag containing items including a phone and a coat were also taken from them. Ryan Hand, aged 36, has been charged with robbery, and possession of a bladed article. He was remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today. A 12-year-old boy arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed with strict conditions.

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead at an address in Oldbury. A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a car in Birmingham. Despite the best efforts of paramedics and members of public, the rider in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car involved, who is in her 40s, remained at the scene and is helping West Midlands Police with its investigation.
Urgent appeal after man dies near to Tipton railway station

Police officers were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks near Tipton just after 12.35pm yesterday (4 March). Officers and paramedics arrived but sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is currently being treated as unexplained, but despite extensive enquiries officers have been unable to identify the man and trace his family to inform them of the news. The man was wearing an orange high visibility jacket with a hood, and trousers with a Pulsar brand logo on them.
