FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY -- SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAYSunday through Thursday are First Alert Weather Days because of dangerous levels of heat and humidity. Temperatures will climb into the mid 90s. The humidity will be as high as it has been lately, sending the heat index into the 100-109 range.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) -FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY is in effect through this evening for a strong to severe thunderstorm or two. THE NEXT 24 HOURSOccasional showers and thunderstorms are likely through tomorrow. Watch for heavy downpours that cause ponding and reduced visibility while driving. It won’t rain the entire time, so there will be some dry, usable time outdoors. This evening actually looks dry for most.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) -A First Alert Weather Day is in effect for Thursday for the possibility of a couple of strong to severe thunderstorms. The overall threat for severe weather is low. This will not be a widespread severe thunderstorm event. It is more isolated with just one or two severe thunderstorms. The most likely time for storms is in the afternoon and evening. The greatest threats would be damaging wind and hail...not looking for tornadoes at this time.
