The process is intensive, with badge requirements, an individually led community project, and approval by the Eagle Scout board of review. Montana Heather, a senior at Niwot High School, has recently joined the ranks of just over 4% of scouts and earned his Eagle Scout Badge after years of hard work and persistence.

She specializes in nature and wildlife, capturing the natural beauty of the Rockies, Yellowstone National Park, and the Grand Teton National Park in her work. Her photography captures a feeling of quiet serenity, and offers a calm interlude to a busy life. Wooldridge said she first got started with ocean photography while diving, about 20 years ago.

    On Saturday, Dec. 16, some 200 Niwotians gathered in front of the Niwot Market for the unveiling of a bench dedicated to the memory of beloved community member Bert Steele. It was a touching final farewell to Steele, who died Aug. 7, 2023, after a short illness. Born on Oct. 16, 1950, Steele founded Niwot Market in 2002. A hard worker and passionate business owner, he cultivated a commercial space that has become truly integral to the community of Niwot.

    Everyone in Boulder County knows of the FasTracks transit plan from the Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD), and in particular, the ghost of a plan for extensions to Boulder and Longmont, which has haunted the region since the beginning of the project in 2004. The light-rail trains implemented by RTD as well as increased bus lines have introduced more much needed public transportation options to primarily the Denver metro area, as well as surrounding cities.
