Chicago P.D. Season 12, Episode 21 ‘Open Caskett‘ is an explosive episode, one that doesn’t throw a stone, but a bomb at the entire Intelligence team. In a way, that’s a really good thing for a show that, at times, has felt like it skirts consequences way too much. And yet, it’s not like we want Deputy Chief Reid to win. So, it turns out that in this case, we really are rooting for Voight. Or at least, we’re rooting for the team.

Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 21 ‘The Bad Guy‘ is a pretty good setup episode for the finale, with the focus on Stella and Severide giving the hour weight, even as much of the mystery is Pascal-related. However, let us be clear, this is still a setup episode. One with good Stella and Severide is always better than one without, but this hour doesn’t do much to resolve any of the big storylines of the season.

Andor Season 2, Episode 10-12 brings us back to the beginning, even if this beginning is actually the continuation of the story. The final walk for Cassian Andor is actually the beginning of Rogue One, the beginning of a story we know. One that doesn’t end well for him, but one that sets the stage for the first big triumph for the Rebellion—and for the galaxy to finally achieve freedom. In many ways, when Rogue One came out, we understood it as the story of the heroes behind the heroes.

Ramón Rodríguez’s Will Trent isn’t the type of character you expect him to be, especially if you read the series of novels by Karin Slaughter, which the show is based on. The series, which is about to conclude its third season and has already been renewed for a fourth, has instead built a new character. One that shares traits with the book version, but one that, in many ways, stands on its own. That’s sometimes the beauty of adaptations.
