Impact of particle size separation on the stabilisation efficiency of heavy-metal-contaminated soil: a meta-analysis† The separation of heavy-metal-contaminated soil by particle size is crucial for minimising the volume of contaminated soil because of the pronounced variability in the heavy-metal distribution among different soil particle sizes. However, relevant analyses on the effect of soil particle size sorting on stabilisation are limited.

1 Introduction Ground motions induced by earthquakes includes two forms: translations and rotations. Three translational components and three rotational components constitute a complete six-component (6C) wavefield. Traditional earthquake observation and seismology research only focus on translational motions, but the exploration of rotational motions has a long history (Aki & Richards, 2002; Lee et al., 2009).
