FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Today’s the day to take advantage of if you need to do any storm cleanup or lawn work. A much hotter trend is on the way for the weekend into next week!A cold front that triggered yesterday’s storms drives in a few light showers this mornning. Spotty rain showers are expected until midday, but we look to dry up and clear out this evening. This evening will be the ideal time to do any outdoor work, that’s when highs will only reach the mid to upper 70s.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A is in place later today for the potential for severe storms. We’ll be monitoring how the day evolves as the chance for daytime rain could hinder some of the storm energy later on. Depending on how quickly we dry up and recover from any rain that could come in early on, the main timeframe for any severe storms would be 3-9 pm. Clusters and broken lines of storms look to pick up in the evening, which could largely slow down your drive home from work.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - We’re heating up big time over the next week! We’ll deal with the severe risk with tomorrow evening’s storms, then the hottest air arrives throughout the weekend. There’s a conditional risk for severe storms tomorrow... we’ll have to monitor if any rain or storms in the morning or afternoon would weaken the main round that brings the severe threat from 5-10 pm. If nothing weakens the evening round of storms, then strong winds and heavy rain will be our primary concerns.
