FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The city is currently reviewing requirements for qualifications for 20 development teams for the North River property in downtown Fort Wayne. City Redevelopment Director Alec Johnson says this is a preliminary period where they are looking to see if teams can really manage a project of this magnitude. Because so many developers are interested, he says they most likely will need to create a shortlist of candidates that they can dig deeper into.

That stubborn low pressure system will eventually lift out of the area Thursday morning, but our attention will then turn to an advancing warm front that could bring with it a severe threat Thursday night.

We have plenty of opportunities for rain showers as a low pressure system continues to churn to our south. Skies remain mostly cloudy for the majority of Tuesday as highs reach the low to mid 70s. Occasional showers are expected, with the highest rain chances for today in the afternoon and evening. It will be a similar situation for Wednesday as more spotty rain showers are expected.

(WPTA) - An upper level low pressure system will continue to slowly move north and eastward through the Ohio Valley, putting us on the northward (and eventually westward by midweek) extend of the system’s influence. What does that mean weather-wise over the next couple of days? ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - The Allen County Public Library is expanding its partnership with Blessings in a Backpack this summer, with plans to more than double the amount of food given to local children. The organizations’ program, which is meant to fight childhood hunger, launched last year and gave away more than 4,400 bags of shelf-stable food, enough to feed a child over the weekend.
