Today marks the start of a rainy trend. An area of Low pressure, currently located near St. Louis, is producing widespread rain from Downriver to our north this morning. Scattered showers have been reported from Adrian to Dundee to Temperance, heading north to the city, Windsor, New Baltimore and Port Huron. Rain will persist throughout the day. Heavier this morning, tapering off toward noon, redeveloping by your evening commute. And that's not all. We carry the threat of rain right up to Saturday.

Get ready for a warmer day. Temperatures yesterday topped out near seasonal, 67 degrees, but a southeast wind direction as High pressure tracks east will pop our readings up to near 80 degrees today. Our overnight lows will be closer to yesterday's high temperature: 61, so your Tuesday morning commute will boast a warmer start to the day. Changes are on the way with an area of Low pressure to our south.

Same system, different day. More rain to start your day this morning courtesy of Low pressure to our south. The same system that brought rain to us yesterday at this time is still here, only this morning with a closer proximity. Yesterday's rainfall topped out at .22" at the airport. Today, possibly a half inch more. At any rate, rainfall totals for the month are in a surplus - as much as 1.28" over seasonal stats.

Rainy days and Mondays. A wet start to your day courtesy of Low pressure to our south. This further adds to our record-breaking rainfall yesterday of 1.29 inches, breaking a record originally set in 1990 of 1.05 inches. Our monthly total shows a surplus of rain at 1.16 inches. We will continue to add to our surplus again this evening and overnight as more rain comes at us counterclockwise around the Low. Expect another wet commute Tuesday morning with widespread rain during the day.

A milder start to your day with a warmer finish in the 70s. In advance of an approaching warm front, temperatures will soar above seasonal values (64) to around 72 today. Winds out of the south help to increase the temperature. Even warmer Tuesday with highs in the 80s. The rising temperatures set the stage for potentially severe weather Tuesday after 4pm. A cold front will cross the state, displacing the warm air, creating possible storms Tuesday afternoon into early evening.
