The 'New American' restaurant has earned owners and chefs Evelyn Garcia and Henry Liu plenty of critical acclaim including two James Beard Award semifinalist nods in 2024 and 2025. The duo draw on their different cultural heritages to create a menu that seamlessly blends Asian ingredients with Mexican and Salvadoran flavors for unique dishes that have propelled them to the top of the Houston restaurant scene.

P. Terry's Burger Stand, 20255 Champion Forest, opens April 7 in Spring, Texas. It is number 36 for the brand overall and the second for the Greater Houston area. The first opened in October 2024 in Richmond. Kitchen Rumors, 2310 Decatur, is opening in late spring. The newest concept from Kahani Social Group will occupy the space most recently occupied by the acclaimed Xin Chao. Kahani Social Group's principals include brothers Surpreet Singh and Preet Paul Singh along with Chef Jassi Bindra. The hospitality group is known for it Houston area concepts including the upscale Indian restaurant Amrina, in The Woodlands, as well as the more recent casual eateries, Pok Pok Po and Bol.
