Introduction Kawasaki disease (KD) is a medium-vessel vasculitis that predominantly affects young children (1, 2). The highest incidence of KD has been reported in Northeast Asian countries like Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan (3), ranging from 80 to 359 per 100,000 children below 5, and it continues to rise. Incidence data in the United States and Europe range from 15 to 20 per 100,000 children below 5. To date, no data on the nationwide incidence of KD has been gathered in India.
