North Central Texas College hasn't shared the hot seat with Texas universities over issues like diversity and censorship, issues that have attracted the ire of both federal and state elected leaders. But Chancellor G. Brent Wallace says the Gainesville-based community college is grappling with the same uncertainty that has whipsawed administrators at four-year colleges as Congress and statehouses reconsider the role and reach of higher education.

LOL! Reminds me of my teen years. I'd be walking my dog and - SURPRISE! - the family cat would jump out of the bushes at us. Percy never "attacked" from the same yard twice, either.

A man installed a GPS tracker on his cat to track its route while he was walking his dog. To his surprise, the cat stealthily followed him and the dog for the entire walk. https://t.co/LyGAfw17Sc

If I don't drink at least 32 ounces of water an hour before a blood draw, the phlebotomist sticks the top of my hand. Solidarity to all the hard-to-stick folks!

Me: just to warn you, I’m a hard stick. Phlebotomist: oh I’m sure you’re fine. -several attempts later- Phlebotomist: you weren’t kidding! We’ll have to do this another day, just drink A LOT of water the day before. … I shouldn’t feel like I “won” this situation, but I do.

B4 the holidays, I wrote a story about Denton ISD saving $250K by changing a middle school's colors and mascot so that the campus wouldn't have to rip out perfectly good bleachers and change mascot imagery. Naturally, Facebook dude calls it "clandestine cancel culture."
