London Culbreath grew up just down the road in McKinney before stints at Arkansas and TCU. Culbreath enjoyed her time at TCU but decided it was time for a change ahead of her junior season. There were plenty of schools that were interested in the three-time winner of the Gatorade Texas Girls Cross Country Athlete of the Year award, including UNT.

    The Denton City Council certified the May 3 election results during a special called meeting Tuesday afternoon, followed by ordering the runoff election for District 3 to be held on Saturday, June 7. District 3 will see candidates Suzi Rumohr and Margie Ellis facing off in the runoff for the council seat after Ellis received three more votes than candidate Karen Jill DeVinney, who acknowledged her loss Monday on her campaign Facebook page.

    North Texas put a whole lot of time and effort into trying to sell out a game at DATCU Stadium for the first time last season. The school announced its game themes for the 2025 campaign on Tuesday and said it's going to take another crack at one of the program’s long-held goals. The Mean Green are set to host Washington State on Sept. 13.
