The store will be offering pre-filled donation bags available for customers to buy and donate to the charities FareShare and the Trussell Trust. The bags will contain items that are most needed by local foodbanks and charities. Customers will also get additional opportunities over the summer to round up their bills at the checkout to make it even easier to offer financial support.

The event, organised by the home, which is part of the Berkley Care Group, was also open to local schools and nurseries. The care home was transformed with bunting, balloons, and a decorated gazebo. Inside, teddies and picnic blankets were arranged to create a cosy story-time corner, where children were invited to listen to stories or read from a selection of books provided.

SEVERAL Redditch eateries have been handed new food hygiene ratings and its good news for some of them. The Boat House, a restaurant at Arrow Valley Park, Battens Drive, Redditch has been given the maximum score of five out of five after an assessment on June 22. KFC at Shapland House, The Oaks, Clews Road, Redditch along with Winyates Chippy at Winyates Centre, Redditch were also given top scores after assessments on June 27.

SEVERAL Bromsgrove eateries have been handed new food hygiene ratings and its good news. Slug and Lettuce, a bar at 126 to 130 High Street, Bromsgrove was handed a five out of five rating after an assessment on June 28. Wythall Fishbar, a takeaway at 217 Station Road, Wythall was also given a five out of five after an assessment on July 24.

HERE are several upcoming road closures motorists need to be aware of. Church Road, Belbroughton from its junction with Church Hill to its junction with High Street and Queens Hill will be closed for 12 days from August 7 due to footway reconstruction. Whitford Road, Bromsgrove from its junction with Sunningdale Road to its junction with Kidderminster Road will be closed for 26 days from August 28 for development works by Power On Connections.
