Stage 2 of the Tour of Britain Women was a good day for the northernmost regions of North America. Yukon native Mara Roldan stole away 14km from the line to the stage, while Alaskan Kristen Faulkner (EF Education-Oatly) became the new race leader and goes into the last two stages in Scotland holding the green jersey. Faulkner had been second on stage 1, narrowly beaten in a two-woman sprint by Kim Le Court (AG Insurance-Soudal).

Mara Roldan (Picnic-PostNL) took her first pro victory on stage 2 of the Tour of Britain Women, soloing to the finish in Saltburn-on-the-Sea after an attack on the hill at Marske Lane with 14km to go. Riejanne Markus (Lidl-Trek) went after Roldan but never made contact and finished runner-up 12 seconds later. A further six seconds down, Ally Wollaston (FDJ-Suez) led home the next group on the road.

Ten years after her only previous Tour of Britain participation, Kim Le Court (AG Insurance-Soudal) returned to the British race in 2025. But unlike a decade ago in the race, though, when a teenage Mauritian ended up as lanterne rouge, this time round Le Court has already won stage 1 of the 2025 edition. “I am very happy, not just with this victory, but also with being back here,” said Le Court after her victory.
