A driver veered into the wrong lane and crashed headlong into a motorcyclist when his dog jumped into his lap. Norman McAndrew, 82, killed John Murkin when he became distracted by the dog and crashed into his motorbike, forcing the 66-year-old into a hedge. The crash took place on October 7, 2023 in Ardleigh near Colchester, with Mr Murkin tragically dying at the scene from multiple injuries.
