Sky TV customers with the Sky Cinema pack can now upgrade the free Paramount+ subscription to remove adverts at a discounted price. Following downgrading the free plan to Paramount+ Basic (with ads) in January 2025, customers can now choose to upgrade to either Standard or Premium. Discounted pricing also continues to save Sky Cinema customers £4.99 per month off the price of a standalone Paramount+ subscription.

Vodafone has launched a new Pro 3 package option across their full fibre broadband deals, with an upgraded WiFi 7 Ultra Hub router. Plans cost from £39 per month on the Full Fibre 150 speed tier, and include a WiFi 7 Ultra Hub, WiFi 7 booster and automatic 4G back-up device. EE and LightSpeed have also recently launched WiFi 7 routers in recent months, while other providers play catch-up with WiFi 5 and 6 devices.

Prices for NOW Broadband packages will be going up by £3 per month from 4th July 2025 for existing customers. The annual price rise follows similar rises last year, when NOW Broadband also increased prices by £3 per month. Customers unhappy with the change will be able to cancel their contracts early as long as they do so within 31 days of being notified.

The price of BT's social broadband tariffs are increasing by £1 per month for new customers from 2nd May 2025. BT Home Essentials (No income plan) will rise from £15 per month to £16 per month, while the Fibre Essential and Fibre 2 plans will be rising to £21 and £24 per month respectively. Existing customers will only be protected from these price increases until their 12-month contract ends and they're reviewed for eligibility.

Virgin Media have confirmed all new customers signing up to one of their pre-made TV360 broadband and TV bundles will now be provided with a Hub 5 router. The Hub 5 supports WiFi 6 and is more up to date than the Hub 3 and Hub 4 still being supplied with broadband-only plans up to M500. New TV360 customers are also now being supplied the Stream box instead of the TV 360 box.

Despite almost half of eligible households now aware of social broadband tariffs (47%), still only just over 5% have switched to one. Interestingly, only 11% of eligible households say they're struggling with bills. If awareness was at 100%, take-up could still be low.
