    The price of BT's social broadband tariffs are increasing by £1 per month for new customers from 2nd May 2025. BT Home Essentials (No income plan) will rise from £15 per month to £16 per month, while the Fibre Essential and Fibre 2 plans will be rising to £21 and £24 per month respectively. Existing customers will only be protected from these price increases until their 12-month contract ends and they're reviewed for eligibility.

    Virgin Media have confirmed all new customers signing up to one of their pre-made TV360 broadband and TV bundles will now be provided with a Hub 5 router. The Hub 5 supports WiFi 6 and is more up to date than the Hub 3 and Hub 4 still being supplied with broadband-only plans up to M500. New TV360 customers are also now being supplied the Stream box instead of the TV 360 box.

The new team will be made up of 500 skilled customer care agents and early feedback from customers has been positive. The launch of this 'complex cases' team follows the announcement last month from CEO Schuler, that Virgin Media plans to transform their customer service.
