Mt. Olive, IL – A festival celebrating famed Labor leader Mother Jones will take place on May 5 in Mt. Olive, Ill. The third annual Mother Jones Festival will begin in downtown Mt. Olive with live music, a “magic and medicine” show, sidewalk art competition for children, cemetery tours and busing to Mother Jones’ grave, Mother Jones Museum tours and more.

Sunset Hills, MO – Laborers Local 110 has donated $10,000 to the St. Louis Labor Council’s Robert E. Kelly $5 for the Fight fund to help union families facing financial hardship. The Fight Fund is administered by the United Way and makes payments directly to vendors and service providers to help union members with rent and mortgage payments, utilities, medical bills and other needs. The fund is now a 501c3 charity, so all donations are tax deductible.
