This year's Boston Marathon is a big anniversary for the man known as "Boston Billy."Bill Rodgers won his first Boston Marathon in 1975. He won it three more times in the next several years. That earned him his nickname and made him one of the most legendary marathoners in American history. Rodgers is a grand marshal for this year's race. WBUR's Lynn Jolicoeur joined Rodgers along the marathon route and spoke with him about Boston's role in his storied running career.

Suffolk prosecutors knew ICE would arrest Saugus man on trial, but kept quiet, court recordings showCourt recordings reveal what prosecutors and state police knew about the federal agents' plans to arrest an immigrant man standing trial in Boston as he exited the courthouse last month. On Monday, a federal judge dismissed a contempt case against the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent who arrested Wilson Martell-Lebron, of Saugus, before his case could go before a jury.

Every day, the basement of Church of the Covenant on Boston's Newbury Street comes alive, as it fills with women facing homelessness or housing insecurity. It's a day shelter called Women's Lunch Place. On a recent weekday, the chatter of women and clanking of silverware filled the air, along with pop music. Several volunteers chopped vegetables and stirred big tins of food. Others carried hot meals directly to the guests, restaurant style, at tables decorated with fresh flowers.

04:28The town of Concord is celebrating the 250th anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord this weekend. There will be reenactments and parades. Rob Morrison, a former Concord history teacher, will march in the parade alongside a dozen surprising guests. Morrison has spent the last decade visiting every U.S. town and city he could find named Concord. So far, that's 97 Concords.
