Suffolk prosecutors knew ICE would arrest Saugus man on trial, but kept quiet, court recordings showCourt recordings reveal what prosecutors and state police knew about the federal agents' plans to arrest an immigrant man standing trial in Boston as he exited the courthouse last month. On Monday, a federal judge dismissed a contempt case against the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent who arrested Wilson Martell-Lebron, of Saugus, before his case could go before a jury.

It’s that time of year on Cape Cod, when restaurants like Mac’s Shack haul tables and chairs out of storage and upgrade their outdoor patios in anticipation of summer, when the region's population swells like a surf break. But Mac Hay, the owner of this Wellfleet seafood restaurant, is anxious and frustrated. That’s because he’s applied for federal visas so he can hire about 100 foreign workers to help staff his kitchens. In the past, some of his applications were approved by March.

Julia LaGrand was in high school when an orchestra played in her hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Among the musicians was violinist Adrian Anantawan. Anantawan was born without his right hand. He plays the violin with help from an adaptive tool that allows him to hold the instrument’s bow. LaGrand said listening to Anantawan play made an impact on her. Like Anantawan, LaGrand has a disability. She was born blind.

It’s official: Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is running for a second term. Speaking to supporters at the South End's Cyclorama Saturday afternoon, the 40-year-old Democrat described the accomplishments of her administration’s work so far, and said she has more work to do investing in the city's schools, continuing to improve public safety, and standing up to changes from Washington.
