Correction to: Nature Medicine https://doi.org/10.1038/s41591-024-03238-6, published online 31 August 2024. In the version of the article initially published, the traces in Fig. 3 appeared with an incorrect 180° rotation, with y-axis units ranging from 0.5–1.0, rather than 0.0–0.5. The caption to Fig. 3, which originally read “The red Kaplan–Meier curve represents the time until OMT in the treatment group, and the blue curve represents the time until OMT in the usual care group.

Key PointsQuestion What is the performance of the H2FPEF and HFA-PEFF algorithms to diagnose heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) compared with the invasive gold standard of an elevated pulmonary capillary wedge pressure (PCWP) during exercise? Findings In this case-control study of 736 patients, H2FPEF and HFA-PEFF scores provided discriminatory information to identify HFpEF, but there was superior discrimination for the H2FPEF score.

AbstractGuideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) has clear benefits on morbidity and mortality in patients with heart failure; however, GDMT use remains low. In the multicenter, open-label, investigator-initiated ADMINISTER trial, patients (n = 150) diagnosed with heart failure and reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) were randomized (1:1) to receive usual care or a strategy using digital consults (DCs).

AbstractHeart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is under-recognized in clinical practice. Although a previously developed risk score, termed H2FPEF, can be used to estimate HFpEF probability, this score requires imaging data, which is often unavailable. Here we sought to develop an HFpEF screening model that is based exclusively on clinical variables and that can guide the need for echocardiography and further testing.
