Alpine's decision to swap its drivers comes as little surprise given the prolonged pressure on Jack Doohan but, similar to Red Bull's recent switches, it shows how ruthless Formula One can be. Alpine announced Tuesday that Oliver Oakes resigned from his position as team principal, which was accepted by the team with immediate effect. Flavio Briatore, the team's executive advisor, will assume Oakes' responsibilities while continuing his advisory duties. "The team would like to thank Oliver for his efforts since he joined last summer and for his contribution in helping the team secure sixth place in the 2024 Constructors' Championship," Alpine's statement said, in part.
