    ROCHESTER — After the game between crosstown rivals on Monday night, a group of young kids waited patiently by the dugout to collect autographs from Mayo High School baseball players. Mayo junior pitcher/outfielder Isaac Peterson was one of them. It was a chilly and windy evening, but that didn’t deter a decent-sized crowd on Youth Night at Mayo Field.

    ROCHESTER — When Reatrey Rith joined the Rochester boys volleyball team this season, he signed up to play a team sport in the United States for the first time. The Century High School senior moved to Rochester with his family from Cambodia three years ago. He first started playing volleyball in Cambodia and his love for the sport stayed with him through the move. One of the biggest adjustments Rith has experienced since moving to Minnesota is, no doubt, the weather.

    ZUMBROTA — Growing up as a coach’s son, Hudson Ohm spent a good chunk of his childhood at the baseball field. His dad, Chuck Ohm, was the longtime coach for Zumbrota-Mazeppa until the now-junior pitcher/outfielder for the Cougars was in fourth grade. “I remember I did come here before every game,” Ohm said. “Unfortunately, he kicked me out of the dugout, but that's OK.
