Adelaide public transport users will continue paying maximum fares for short trips after Transport Minister Tom Koutsantonis ruled out reintroducing two-section fares. This is despite his party slamming the decision to axe the provision in 2019 as a "blatant cash-grab" by the former Liberal government. The two-section fare enabled a reduction of up to $2 for short trips, but users have since had to pay full fares regardless of distance travelled.

Western cinema is littered with rags-to-riches stories of independent films making millions, but in an age of streaming where box offices are bypassed altogether, are windfalls becoming a thing of the past? In the United States, Jared Hess's Napoleon Dynamite of 2004 cost about $400,000 and grossed more than $46 million.

Adelaide's Frame Creative, in partnership with the SA Tourism Commission (SATC), this week started rolling out imagery and adverts that showcase the produce and "simple pleasures" of the Barossa and Fleurieu Peninsula.

The Cape du Couedic wave buoy has been out of commission since September. Delays in replacing it with a spare have been blamed on a supply issue in Canada. Water users can access alternative wave buoy data through a Flinders University project. A Bureau of Meteorology wave buoy has now been out of commission for seven months, leaving South Australian divers and fishers who rely on its data to seek alternatives.
