First it isn't the industry, it's the corporations. The industry is going nowhere, just the owners will change. The main objective of capitalism is to make as much money as possible no matter who gets hurt. Uncontrolled capitalism doesn't work as will destroy itself as we see often and in the auto industry with Jeep likely to be gone shortly, only well controlled does. Personally I think a less technically advanced/complicated factories by great design, is the future.

BYD manufactures its buses for the European market in Hungary. “With this order, De Lijn is resolutely continuing to green its fleet, with the aim of offering completely emission-free public transport by 2035,” said Ann Schoubs, director general of De Lijn.

I suspect that humanoid robots combined with a VR-like human controller may be another big market for these bots in industry and entertainment. Human controlled robot games, sight seeing and the like seem to be opportunities that extend current trends. Dangerous and boring professions may also be an application for human controlled humanoid robots; ocean freight ship crews, wind turbine repair, forest fire fighting ... may all be candidate jobs for human controlled robots.
