Just over 50 years ago, Comox Valley naturalist Hamilton Mack Laing donated his home, known to the community as 'Shakesides' to the Town of Comox. That was in 1973. Traffic on Comox Avenue will become one-way in sections near Rodello Street later this month. The Comox Valley Regional District announced the traffic pattern change as part of the Comox Valley Sewer Conveyance Project, as well as Town of Comox infrastructure upgrades. Beginning in mid-April, Comox Avenue will become one-way in sections beginning at Rodello Street, with traffic flowing west towards Glacier View Drive. Estimated start date for construction on Comox Avenue is April 14, 2025.
