    QUEBEC - A Canadian icon has passed away at the age of 76. Marc Garneau made history in 1984, when he became first Canadian to fly on a space shuttle mission in 1984. The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) says he was one of the original six Canadian astronauts and flew space in three missions throughout his career as an astronaut; STS-41-G in 1984, STS-77 in 1996, and STS-97 in 2000. He became the Executive Vice President of the CSA in February 2001 and was promoted to President in that same year.

    DRUMBO - A GoFundMe page is looking to send a local man down to Mexico to receive treatment for Lyme disease. Jason Hibbs was a volunteer firefighter in Drumbo for over 10 years. He also worked for Brink's Canada for over 10 years and he has experience working as an arborist. He is a father of two daughters, one being 17 and the other being 12, and he has two younger siblings. His youngest sister, Raquel Ruttan, says Jason's life changed in the spring of 2019.

    WATERFORD - A 19-year-old has been busted for drunk driving in Waterford. The Norfolk OPP received a report about a suspected impaired driver on Duncombe Road shortly after 12:00 a.m. today. Officers found the vehicle on Culver Road and the driver was taken into custody after failing a sobriety test.

Organizer Linda Sonnenburg says this event is a homecoming for the people to attend every year. "It's been 25 years that we've been doing this. People come back year after year with their new wiener dogs to show everyone.
