WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock has received a fourth quarter gaming revenue payment from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG). It's worth $409,479 and brings the total for the fiscal year to $1,698,460. The City receives these payments for hosting Gateway Casinos, and the money is set aside for its Community Grants Program. The local casino first opened in June 2001, and Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman says the City has received $25,595,147 since then.

CANADA - The Bank of Canada is holding its key interest rate steady at 2.75 per cent. This is the first time since last June that the rate hasn't decreased. This will give the central bank more time to see how the U.S. tariffs will impact Canada's economy, says Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem. WOODSTOCK - The 9th annual UDodge tournament was a huge success for United Way Oxford. The dodgeball tournament raised a record breaking $18,311 at Huron Park Secondary School on Saturday April 12th. The team from VS Design Studio won first place in the end, followed by Plays with Ballz in second and Shoppers Drug Mart Blue in third. The top fundraiser award went to the Sierra Hardhat Hooligans. The tournament has raised over $132,000 to date.
