NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Ahead of the incoming heat wave for the weekend, there is more rain and possible severe thunderstorms expected across Middle Tennessee. Tuesday through Thursday have severe risks, but the timeframe of highest concern will be Wednesday evening through early Thursday morning. TUESDAYThe Storm Prediction Center added a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for most of Middle Tennessee & Southern Kentucky on Tuesday. This severe risk is very low, primarily for damaging wind gusts.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A wet weekend is expected at times across Middle Tennessee, and there is a risk for a few strong to severe storms on Friday. Expect the highest rain chances the next few days to occur in the afternoon and evening hours. The Storm Prediction Center’s 8 a.m. Friday added a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for all counties of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. This risk means a few severe storms are possible. As mentioned, heavy rain & lightning will be the primary storm threat.
