Bethune-Cookman's Dhashon Dyson has been named the HBCU All-Stars National Spotlight Player of the Week for Jan. 14-20. Dyson, a senior guard from Chicago, averaged 17.5 points, 5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2 steals in the Wildcats' victories vs. Southern and Mississippi Valley State. In Bethune-Cookman's 83-81 overtime victory vs. the Jaguars, Dyson drilled a tough fadeaway floater to tie the game at the end of regulation and finished with 19 points.

Tennessee State's Christian Brown has been named the HBCU All-Stars National Spotlight Player of the Week for Jan. 7-13, 2024. Brown, a graduate student from Hopkins, South Carolina, had 22 points and six rebounds in the Tigers' 75-60 home victory vs. Lindenwood. Earlier this season, the Watch List for the 2024 HBCU All-Star Game was released. This season's game will be held April 7 in Phoenix (Click here for tickets) and once again will be broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.

Dyson, a senior guard from Chicago, averaged 22 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the Wildcats' 85-62 loss at Mississippi State and 98-86 victory vs. Florida A&M last week. Howard's Seth Towns has been named the HBCU All-Stars National Spotlight Player of the Week for Dec. 24-30 after scoring 18 points, pulling down 12 rebounds, dishing out two assists and recording three steals in the Bison's 71-66 victory at La Salle. The double-double performance for Towns, a graduate student from Columbus, Ohio, snapped a three-game losing streak for Howard. Earlier this season, the Watch List for the 2024 HBCU All-Star Game was released.

Founded by Edward W. Lane, Thomas P. Denham, and Fred W. Hoyt in 1903, the Atlantic National Bank was one of Florida’s largest until it was acquired by First Union in 1985. Today, the building is the site of the only underground pedestrian tunnel in Downtown that is still in use today.
