SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Drug overdose deaths are down in one Upstate county, but the fight against fentanyl is far from over. We all know someone who has struggled with addiction or sadly, passed away from it. It’s something that has touched just about everyone in one way or another. In 2023, Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said there were 191 people dying from drug overdoses. A majority of those deaths were from fentanyl.
