Maria Mella won in No. 2 singles against Rochester but the Falcons were tripped up on the second day of their stay in Florida. Rochester 6, Bentley 1Mella battled to a three set victory in the No. 2 singles match against Rochester's Sanjana Karnam. They split the first two sets 6-4 each, with Mella winning the first set. Mella then took the match by winning the third set tiebreak, 10-6.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Bentley fell to Division I Providence College on Sunday afternoon in its first match of the spring season. The Friars compete in the Big East and were already playing their 11th match of the spring season. The Falcons, who last competed on Oct. 13, see their record go to 4-7 on the season.
