A fire inside the vent of a kitchen hood at the Zuma Restaurant in Brickell caused heavy smoke to pour out of the building Saturday afternoon, according to City of Miami Fire Rescue. Around 12:47 p.m., City of Miami Fire Rescue responded to reports of a kitchen fire at Zuma Restaurant at 270 Biscayne Blvd. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Miami-Dade Police are searching for a suspect after a 17-year-old was shot Saturday evening. At approximately 7:05 p.m., MDPD responded to reports of a shooting in the 13800 block of SW 262nd Street, where they found the teen suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Jackson South Medical Center, where he is reported to be in stable condition, according to authorities. Police say the victim was walking with another teen when they heard gunshots.

A shooting early Sunday morning at the Hollywood Jaycee Hall event venue left two people dead and two others injured. Around 1:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at 2930 Hollywood Blvd. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while another later died at the hospital, according to authorities. The shooting occurred during an anniversary celebration at Jaycee Hall, where an altercation reportedly took place before the gunfire erupted.

A man is dead and another person is in custody following a shooting in Lauderdale Lakes, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO). The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Somerset Drive. When deputies arrived, they found an adult man with a gunshot wound. Mayor Daniella Levine Cava has provided an update on the debate over plans for a new trash incinerator in Miami-Dade.
