Nearly 1,000 people filled the sidewalks of 15th Street NE and Harvey Road near Auburn Way as part of the nationwide “No Kings” protests held June 14. The “No Kings” movement is a response to the perceived authoritarian tendencies of the Trump administration, according to organizers. The event was organized by the Auburn Indivisible Group. With the group only beginning in April 2025, founder Vicki Bates said this is a way to not only peacefully protest, but speak out.

Federal Way resident Christina Freeman is the owner and creator of the bouquets who runs the business out of her home. Freeman said she makes each arrangement by hand with love. “It takes me about an hour and a half,” she said.

Cass Thonstad, the principal of the academy, said it is a school of choice. “Students are getting opportunities to learn through integrated content projects. MEDFORD, Ore. -- Since 2012, the Roc Recovery Center has been conducting peer support groups for people who have a background in addition. At the end of the training, participants will be able to become certified peer specialists and mentor people during their process of recovery. Daylene Padilla is currently a trainee in the PSS State Certified Training. Padilla said, this something dear to her heart. MEDFORD, Ore. -- Throughout the Medford School District, teachers and staff members participated in a day-long training geared towards active shooter situations, medical administration, Epi-Pen and Narcan administration and treating traumatic injuries. In the training session, teachers are put into a scenario using the ALICE training method.
