INTRODUCTION In recent years, the insect farming sector has made significant progress in expanding the production of insect biomass as a viable source of nutrients for both food and feed purposes (van Huis, 2020). Future forecasts suggest that more advancements in the insect farming sector are expected in the next years (IPIFF, 2019b; 2021).
